Just drive there with own car and then stay there couple days? This makes planning and logistics much easier for a short trip 😊

Another place near Shanghai is Wuzhen with the Wuzhen old water town close to the Leqi Wuzhen Vacation camp. About two hours drive from Shanghai and bout 1h drive from the Moganshan mountains and also very close to Taihu lake

Both of them have static caravans that you can rent for weekends and visit some of the nearby places. Different activities are available.

To be noted that we have personally stayed in those campsites.
