🛡 Insurance & Deductible Protection
All vehicles are covered with basic insurance. Optional deductible protection can be purchased as follows:
Basic Protection (Required)
- ¥20/day (capped at 5 days, valid for up to 30 days)
- Covers one responsible accident with ¥1,500 deductible
Optional Protection Plans
- ¥150/day: Deductible waived for damages < ¥10,000
- ¥200/day: Deductible waived for damages < ¥20,000
- ¥300/day: Deductible waived for damages < ¥30,000 (capped at 5 days, valid for 30 days)
⚠ All claims require reports to the traffic police and insurance company.
Without Protection Example
If no protection is purchased and you’re at fault in an accident with ¥10,000 damage:
- You’ll pay ¥10,000 + ¥1,500 future premium increase
- ~30% depreciation on damage value
- daily rental suspension fees during repairs

A valid C1 Chinese driving license is required. Tourists can obtain a temporary license within a few hours in Shanghai or Beijing. Foreign nationals may also rent an RV using their passport.
