The next day is the time for adventure. We will be heading for the Tuofengling Tianchi, which is a crater lake formed by volcanic activity around 300,000 years ago. Tuofengling Tianchi is accessible by car, and despite its remote location, it is considered a worthwhile destination for those exploring the natural beauty of the Arxan region. It is located approximately 37 km from the park’s entrance. The Tuofengling Tianchi belongs to A’ershan National Forest Park, located in northeastern Inner Mongolia, China, spans over 100,000 hectares and is renowned for its diverse landscapes, including volcanic formations, crater lakes, dense forests, grasslands, rivers, and mineral-rich springs
We walked to the main gate of Tuofengling Tianchi and it was only 500m from the JinJiangGou campground and from there, a minibus took us to the sightseeing spot.

Spending the day here is an easy task. Nature is as pure as it can be and Tuofengling Tianchi Crate Lake is massive with clear blue water. Very nice wooden walking paths all the way and many resting stops so you can take it easy.
